Music fest season is upon us, my friends. The next few months will be a whirlwind of SXSW, Coachella, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, and more. And with great jamming comes great, free-spirited fashion.
I’ve always loved the boho babe look, but with all of the loose, free-flowing pieces, I oft wondered how to dress boho for my plus size body. Then I realized that, as with any other trend, this is one that can be rocked by any body type, shape, or size.
My trick for dressing boho plus and achieving the same cute, folksy, ready to rock vibe as my straight sized friends is to incorporate certain aspects and leave out others. When I think boho, a breezy kimono is a must. Since they tend to be rather shapeless, I skipped the popular peasant dress or trapeze dress silhouettes and opted for a fit-and-flare skater style in an eclectic print. The flared skirt still achieves the flowy look while the fitted bust and waist highlight my curves.
With an on-trend pair of platform wrapped wedges for a flirty twist, the harmony of your boho chic outfit will be as sweet as the positive vibes and energetic music. Outfit details after the (many, many) photos!
